Some of the largest volume of coffee comes from South America. Brazil is a large exporter of the world's favorite beverage. However, Venezuela, Columbia and Peru also are top contenders. Higher elevation coffees from Columbia and Peru are as different as their cultures. The brighter, fruitier flavors of the Peruvian coffees are an expression of joy. While the smooth low acidity of many Columbian coffees make one long for a quiet corner and a good book.
